Monday - Physical map of Canada
Tuesday - Discovery of Canada cloze (fill-in-the-blank) activity. Students received their Latin America final map test back in class today.
Wednesday - Read sections 5.1 and 5.4 in your Social Studies book and take notes in your compostion book. Homework - Worksheet
Thursday & Friday - Planning a Canadian Expedition group activity - share in class on Monday.
Science - Week of March 10
Monday - Atmosphere flip books due. While I was checking flip books, students watched a video on the Atmosphere and completed a worksheet.
Tuesday - Go over Layers of Atmosphere worksheet. Take notes on Energy in the Atmosphere and review Heat Transfer - Download energy_in_the_atmosphere.ppt Download energy_in_the_atmosphere_cloze_notes.doc
Wednesday - Atmosphere pop quiz. Draw and label sea breeze and land breeze.
Thursday - Check homework. Fill in the blanks worksheet on wind - complete with a partner. Homework - wind worksheet.
Friday - Check wind worksheet and watch Bill Nye. Homework - study atmosphere, heat transfer, and wind. Work on workbook pages from chapters 15 (OPTIONAL - but helpful to keep up with information and stay prepared for the weather test) The test over the first half of weather will be on Thursday, March 20.
