7th grade - today was your last class day to work on your newspapers. They are due on Thursday when class begins. Don't forget - your final is next Tuesday! I have posted the current event grades, we will share those and discuss in a few days.
8th grade- The unit test you took today has been posted to the gradebook- I was pleased overall with the grades. Don't forget your project is due Friday- there will not be any more class time to work on it due to Field Day and Career Day. Your final is also scheduled for next Tuesday- I will have a "tips" sheet to give you on Friday. Meanwhile, you can certainly begin cruising back through the chapters in the textbook that you know we covered.
7th grade - tomorrow will be your last day to work on the newspaper projects in class- so you may want to bring a flash drive in case you don't finish and need to work on it at home. The finished product is due Thursday. The final test for the year is scheduled for next Tuesday - 5/19.
8th grade- Tomorrow is the Benchmark test for Energy and Waves! Then we will continue to work on the Wave project- presentations will start on Friday. Your final is scheduled for next Tuesday- 5/19.
7th grade - today we spent time in the media center getting started on research for your chosen contagious disease. We will be working on these projects in the classroom on the laptops for the next 4 days, so you should have plenty of time to finish before presenting on Wed.5/13.
Dedicate a luminaria (a paper bag filled with sand and a candle) to be lit and displayed around the track during the luminaria ceremony at Relay for Life of Cobb County this weekend at Jim Miller Park in Marietta . Luminaria serve as symbols of hope as we continue to work for a cure for this disease, The luminaria ceremony will begin at 10 PM on Friday, May 8, and everyone is invited to attend - you do not need to be a Relay for Life participant to take part or to dedicate a luminaria. With your donation, you may designate an individual whose name will be printed on the luminaria bag. Suggested donation: $10.
Makeup Test session tomorrow morning at 8:15. Please do not be late or you will not be able to start! If you cannot make it in the morning- you will be taking the test during class tomorrow.

Test Makeups for all students will be Tuesday morning- please be here no later than 8:20 or you will not be allowed to start the test. I have cleared with Mr. Sessoms for the jazz band students to come to me instead of practice that morning. Don't be late!

7th grade- today we reviewed the 6 Kindgoms of Life. Download The 6 Kingdoms of Life Tomorrow you will begin working on the visual poster of the kingdoms. If you would like to bring your own markers, color pencils, etc- feel free! The Chapter 9 Test will be on Friday.
8th grade- today we reviewed with a partner the basics of waves. Tomorrow is the test over Chapter 20. Students on the field trip will make that up when they return.
