Literacy - presentations start tomorrow!!
ALL 7th & 8th SCIENCE STUDENTS: your final exam is Wednesday- begin to prepare for it now! I will not be taking the study guide for a grade - but I strongly suggest that you look over it! Textbooks are due to me by Wed. also!!

Literacy - you should be working on finalizing your Fantasia project- everyone must be ready to present on Tuesday!
7th Science- today we chilled out by working on our word picture. I gave you a study guide for the final- you do not have to answer the questions and turn them in!!!! It was given to you to help you focus on the material and remind you of the most important topics we studied. Look over it and use it as you would like!
8th Science - we enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Dampier today- it's always great to have her around- I miss her!! I have posted some grades but didn't have a chance to hand them out to you. We will take care of that on Monday Presentations will be on Monday. You recieved a study guide in class today- you DO NOT have to answer the questions and turn them in!! It was only given to you to help you focus on the big ideas. Use it however much you want!

Wednesday
Literacy - your Fantasia project should be ready by Tuesday! Continue to work each day in class with your group to accomplish all the tasks.
7th Science - Tomorrow is the Benchmark Post-test on Ecology (taken as a quiz grade). It covers the material we discussed in Chap 22, 23 and 24 (section 3). Your comprehensive final for the year will be next Wednesday. You will receive a study guide for it on Friday and we will begin reviewing on Monday. Your textbooks are due on the day of the final!
8th Science - you will have the rest of the week to work on your wave project.
Some groups can present on Friday if you are ready. I extended the deadline specifically for those who missed my class due to the EOCT math test this week. Your comprehensive final will be next Wednesday. Whatever time we have left after the presentations will be used for reviewing. Your textbooks are due to be turned in by next Wednesday.

Literacy - today we started our group work with the Fantasia civilization. Hopefully everyone made a game plan and will be prepared to get going on one or more of the projects tomorrow!
7th Science - we took a short open-note quiz over our study guide material and then wrapped up the unit with a quick discussion of succession and biodiversity. For homework, complete the workbook sections for 23.3. and 23.5.
8th Science - today you received the guidelines for the wave project that is due Friday. We will be in the media center through Thursday for you to complete that in class.

Literacy - today we finished up with the test over HOB. Next class we will start our Fantasia unit. You should be thinking creatively with your group on the civilization you want to create!
7th Science - today was a work day to finish our study guide vocabulary and questions. What you didn't finish in class, is homework - due Monday!
8th Science - no homework!

7th Science - finish your graph activity and summary paragraph for the Oh Deer activity- it is due tomorrow!
8th Science - tomorrow is the test over Waves, Sound and E. Magnetic Spectrum. Also- all study guide questions are due!

7th Science - If you did not get your book checked by me today- you must have it tomorrow! For homework- read 22.2 and complete the first 3 vocab terms and first 3 questions on your study guide.
8th Science - If you did not get your book checked by me today- you must have it tomorrow!! Important dates to remember: Benchmark Post-test (quiz) on Tuesday, Study Guide and Test on Thursday.

Literacy- questions and vocab for the last chapters are due on Wednesday. You will have to show me some progess on Tuesday or you will not watch the video.
7th Science - no homework this weekend - we watched a cool video on deserts and grasslands today! You must have your textbook in class on Monday!!
8th Science - your study guide activities for the electromagnetic spectrum should be completed by Tuesday - you will take the Benchmark Posttest (quiz grade) also. Bring your textbook to class on Monday for a book check!!

Wednesday
Literacy - today you took the quiz over Chapters 1-8. Even though I may not have those graded- tomorrow we will discuss the answers. You need to have the book finished by next Tuesday and the final set of questions and vocab completed also. This may sound like alot - but you will have everyday in class to work on them and there are not as many for the last half of the book. The final test over the book will be on Thursday 5/8.
7th Science - your brochure is due tomorrow!
8th Science - today we tied up loose ends for the classwork on waves that we started during CRCT testing week. If you have not finished those - it is homework. It includes the Wave Interaction illustration and the Doppler Effect worksheet and wordsearch.
