May 12th- May 15th

Students that have not finished their papers need to finish them up at home.  They will be due first thing Thursday.  Students will not have time to work on it in class Thursday. 


Thursday, we will begin our final project.  Hopefully this will be a fun celebration of our hard work reading our novels.


Friday, we will be having a DGP quiz.  If you were absent Monday, please make sure you copy someone's DGP. 


Enjoy the last eight days of school. It has been a fantastic year, and I'm going to miss you all!!

Important Info

Just wanted to give you a head's up for the coming week.  Students have started working on their response to literature papers.  All of this should be done in class, unless they are absent for a few days or work too slowly to get it done in class.


We will be having the DGP Quiz Thursday rather than Friday this week due to Field Day.  24 book points are also due next Friday!!  Keep reading.  This will be for a quiz grade.

May 1st (The real post)

I was trying something different with my last post.  Obviously it didn't work out so well!!


--Remember that we are selling sunshines for a $1 a piece to raise money for Relay for Life. 

--Also remember our team color is RED for field day next Friday!!


Language Arts:  We are continuing our literature circles.  In case you have lost your final paper guidelines, here it is Download Literature Circle-book report

 

This is going to be completed mostly in class.  Although if some groups fall behind, they will have to do some work at home.

 

Literacy:  Wow!!! You guys have been working SO HARD on your projects.  Your papers are magnificent.  Please start thinking about how you are going to look like your hero on the day of presentations!  If you are creative, you won't have to go out and buy anything!!

You guys have been doing a wonderful job with your research.  Tomorrow we will look at how to take your notecards and turn them into an outline (the basis for your paper!!).

1.  DGP - We gave Haley four green balloons on St. Patrick's Day.

2.  Discussed what a literature circle is and previewed books for novel study.

2.  Continued reading biographies and taking notes on notecards.
