Classwork: Exploring Genetic Diseaes by completing questions while viewing the film Lorenzo's Oil.  Textbooks will be collected.

 Thursday, 5/21/07 - Friday, 5/22/07

Students will complete a science final to see the totality of what they've learned this year.  Students may use notes and assignments from class folders for review.

Classwork;  Sudents were introduced to Adaptation, Natural Selection and Darwin's observation along the Galapagos Island.  Read chapter 7, sections 1 -3 to gain a better understanding of Natural Selection.

Wednesday 4/1 - Friday 4/3

Claswork:  Studentswere introduced to Classification of organisms, Seven levels of classification, the Six Kingdoms.  Read Chapter 9, sections 1 - 3.

Classwork:  Exploring Meiosis - Students comleted a mitosis vs. meiosis comparison sheet to reinforce the main similarities and differences between mitosis and meiosis.  This chart may be used as a study sheet for the CRCT.

Classwork:  Creating Genetic Offspring by using probability.  Students are collecting data for the phenotype of the offspring.  Students are sketching the phenotypes of the offspring traits.

Homework:  Review all terms for chapter 5, sections 1 -2 (these are on their vocabulary cards).

Thursday 3/19/09

Classwork: Students finished the Genetic Offspring activity. Students also read chapter 5, section 3.
