We are having a 6th grade dance next Thursday, March 25th. We are looking for volunteers!
1. We will be selling tickets all next week during lunch and wanted to know if anyone would be interested in volunteering to help sell tickets during this window. Our lunch begins at 11:00 and ends at 12:45.
2. If you would like to help out at the dance selling food or monitoring students, we'd love to have you!!!
3. We are looking for prizes for students who participate in our wii dance off, if you know of any connections (gift cards to stores and such) or would like to donate to this cause, that would be greatly appreciated!!!

Monday--Logically Thinking Scenario: You are at a popular restaurant, and it is very busy. Though your server has been quick to take your order, you wait a long time for your food to arrive. Because the service is slow, will this affect the amount of tip that you leave the server? Why or why not?

CRCT DGP questions--Reader's Journey pages 81-82 #7-12. A reading comprehension grade was taken from these questions.

Wednesday--Logically Thinking: How often have you heard the reminder “it’s only a game”? It’s meant to warn us that games should not be taken too seriously. But suppose a game could help you learn, or change the way you act. Would it still be only a game? Why or why not?

Students read silently the two persuasive essays on pages 892-896. They then analyze each essay for its persuasive elements.

Students complete reading comprehension and vocabulary worksheets associated with the persuasive essays from Wednesday.

Friday--Logically Thinking: Collected for the week and given a writing grade.
Students will take an open-book test covering the material from the two persuasive essays read this week.
