Bring your binder and materials for class tomorrow without your book bag. Bring only something to write with on Friday.
Language Arts-
Test over the novels today.
We will finish them tomorrow, write the final copy of your letter to the rising 5th graders, and put up your final book stickers.
Bring your work book because we may have a final assignment in it....then we will recycle them, unless you want to keep them. They would be great review for next year.
Literacy-
Began the movie, "Tuck Everlasting," and had a little time outside.
A few of you still need to finish the test. You may do so tomorrow.

Language Arts-
Your yellow writing folders are coming home today. Keep them for a reference or help next year in 7th grade.
Using your "Feelings about Middle School" paper from the beginning of the year, you are to write a letter to the rising 5th graders. Tell them about how you felt about coming to middle school and then tell about the fun, successes, and activites you were involved in this year. Offer them advice and words of encouragement for the upcoming year of 2009-2010.
**Use the correct friendly letter format.
You will write the final copy after our novel test tomorrow.
Literacy-
Finish the Tuck Everlasting test and then we had locker clean-out.
Be sure to bring back your needed materials and binder until Friday. You cannot take anything like that on the bus on Friday.

WOW! Only 4 days left of this school year!
Language Arts-
We checked workbook pages 31-32 and turned them in. Keep bringing your workbook until Thursday,or I tell you to take them home. You will be taking your yellow writing folders home tomorrow.
Finish reading the novel. You will have time to read tomorrow, too. The ones who have finished must bring a magazine or book to read, or I will assign you something from the literature book.
Test over your novel on Wednesday!
Literacy-
We started the Tuck Everlasting test today. You will finish it tomorrow.
Locker clean-out tomorrow, so bring a plastic bag if you need to do so. You will still bring your materials to class, but you will not be going to your locker.

Language Arts-
DGP#7 Quiz tomorrow. STUDY!
2nd, 3rd, and 4th periods-workbook pages 31-32 about adjectives and adverbs. 1st. period has already turned it in.
After the quiz, we will have another novel discussion group and then read in the novel. The test over the novels will be next Wednesday, so you should be using your time wisely.
Literacy-
We finished Tuck Everlasting and answered questions 19-Epilogue today. We will check the questions tomorrow and discuss a novel project.

We graded the movie frames/comic strips together in class, and then several shared about theirs.
We played Bingo using the parts of speech. Literature Circles will continue on Monday.
Be sure to bring your workbook every day the next two weeks until I tell you to take them home.
We may or may not be using them, but you need to be prepared just in case.
Literacy--
We finished chapter 18 of Tuck Everlasting and started answering questions about chapter 8-18.
You will have time to finish these in class on Monday.

FYI- A LIMITED number of Yearbooks are still available for $40 CASH until Wednesday May 13th. The price of the yearbook will increase to $45 after this day.
We are also selling an insert for the yearbook containing world events like the presidency, olympics, super bowl, and movies from this year in the supplement of the World Yearbook. These are available for $5.
Money should be placed in a school envelope and labeled yearbook and/or world yearbook supplement.

We worked on the comic strips/scenes for the novels you are reading. Some of you are really working hard and don't have any assignment tonight. However, you must have your completed rough draft in class tomorrow. If you do not have it ready to work on the final copy, you will have points off for being unprepared.
Literacy-
Silent Reading and the 10th summary written. They will be taken up for a grade tomorrow.
We continued working on the questions from Chapter 1-8 in Tuck Everlasting. After checking them, we read chapter 9. This novel will count toward your 25 books.
