Math 7 -
Monday and Tuesday we will review the Benchmark Study Guide. The students are required to have the study guide with them on both days of class. Wednesday is Field Day. Enjoy! Thursday and Friday is the 4th quarter Benchmark Testing. All students need to be present both days.
Math Literacy -
This week we will be reading The Westing Game and completing activites related to the book. Friday is silent reading day, please have a novel to read.

This week we will reinforce skills regarding equations, simplifying expressions,and a relay game. On Thursday, students will begin to study for their final benchmark test. The benchmark test will be on May 13 -14 , 2009. Friday is Field Day.

Tessellations project is due on Monday. Tuesday through Friday we will reinforce skills through math games.

We will be working on Budgeting this week. Students will be evaluating their wants vs. needs to develop a personal budget. We will continue with The Westing Game novel in class. Friday is silent reading day, every student needs a novel to read for the entire period.

Tuesday - Cross sections of 4 solids - cylinder, cone, rectangular prism, rectangular pyramid.

Friday - Cool Cross Section Performance Task the final product is due April 3, 2009.

We are wrapping up our unit in math literacy. We will be completing article summaries and watching the What Next? video. Friday, the students will be switching to their new literacy class.

Monday - We will be viewing a powerpoint presentation on Indirect Variation. Students will be expected to take notes.
Tuesday -Thursday - We will be working with different format of indirect questions (i.e. word problems, equations, etc.) .On Thursday, the students will receive a study guide for the Indirect quiz.
Friday - There will be a quiz on Indirect Variation. Also, students will receive the Unit 6 study guide. The Unit 6 Test will be on Tuesday, March 10th.
