4/03/09 - Math

Math:  Today we reviewed Probability and CRCT Practice.  You have no homework!  We will work more with probability when we return from the break and will do the jelly bean activity then. 

Math Literacy:  Today you read silently and completed the 100% Danger WS!  You have no homework!

Math - 3/26/09

Math:  You took the Direct Variation Test today.  You have no homework.  Tomorrow is the computation challenge and CRCT practice!

Jelly Beans:  We will be doing an activity with jelly beans and probability next week in class.  If you are out this weekend and could pick up a bag for our class....I would greatly appreciate it!  Just send them in with your child!  Thank you!

Math Literacy:  You read the "Getting Help with Math" article and answered the questions.  You turned this in.  You have no homework.

3/18/09 - Math

Report Cards/7th Grade Registration:  Report cards and 7th grade registration forms go home tomorrow.  Please get parent signature and return these ASAP!

CRCT Saturday School:  CRCT Saturday School is this Saturday, March 21st, from 9:00-12:00.

Math: We worked more with direct variation and learned about y=kx.  Your classwork/homework is to complete the blue WS over direct variation. 

Math Literacy:  We worked on percent of number.  You have no homework!

Math:  Today we completed the Food Graph Activity using the coordinate grids in class today.  You have no homework.

3/11/09 - Math

Math:  Today you took the Test over Symmetry, Customary/Metric Conversions, and Proportions/Similar Figures.  Tomorrow the Test will be over the Geometry Unit.  You will need to know the solids and their chararcteristics (# of faces, edges, vertices).  You will also need to know the surface area/volume formulas that we have been working on in class.  You have no homework except to study the for the test!

Math:  We worked on Surface Area of Cylinders.  You were also given the Study Guide for the tests that will be given on Wednesday and Thursday.  Please complete anything you did not finish in class for homework!  We will go over the study guide tomorrow and review for the tests.

3/06/09 - Math

Math:  CRCT Review in class today!  You have no homework!  If you have not turned in your Geometry Vocabulary Project...you need to turn this in on Monday!

TEST on Wednesday and Thursday:  As this grading period comes to a close next week, we will be conducting an assessment of all the skills and concepts taught this quarter. The purpose of this assessment is to provide students a final opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of the curriculum that was explicitly taught in class and an additional opportunity to demonstrate their ability to apply these skills and concepts in new ways, not explicitly taught.  The results of this assessment will be evaluated with other grades earned this quarter to determine the final quarter grades for the students.  This assessment is planned for next Wednesday and Thursday, and a study guide will be provided to the students on Monday.  Results of this assessment will be shared with parents.

3)  Proportions/Similar Figures/Indirect Measurement 

4)  Characteristics of Solid
