CRCT Testing: Are you ready?

CRCT Testing begins this Wednesday, 4/23/08, and will continue through Tuesday, 4/29/08!  If my homeroom has perfect attendance for all testing days....you will earn a special treat!

Standardized20testing_1_2        Remember:

  • Get a good night's sleep!
  • Eat a healthy breakfast!
  • Arrive to school on time!
  • Be prepared with 2 #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils) and a silent reading book!     Don't be distracted during the test!         

        Focus on the test!  Do your BEST!  YOU CAN DO IT!  :0)

EXTRA CREDIT:  Take the online Math Practice CRCT Test and earn extra credit in my class!  Your log-in ID was given to you by your homeroom teacher.  The password is "education".  You can either email me the results at tonya.nation@cobbk12.org or print them out and give to me!  What a great way to earn extra credit and get practice for the CRCT!   Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!  Due by Friday, 4/25/08.

4/21/08 - Math

Math:  Today you worked on the Fractions, Decimals, Percents WS in class.  You had the entire period to work on this.  If you did not get finished, please complete it tonight for homework.

Math Literacy:  Graph It! WS in class today.  No homework.

3/27/08 - Math

Math:  The CRCT warm-up was over solids and formulas!  I collected the WS from yesterday.  Your classwork/homework is the Direct Variation Study Guide.  We will go over the study guide tomorrow and review for the test.  The TEST will be on Monday, March 31.  Download direct_variation_study_guide.doc

Math Literacy:  You continued working on the Budget Wheel WS.  If you did not get finished...please complete for homework.

Math:  What an easy day in math!  We did more with fractions, decimals, and percents out of the Coach Workbook!  We are practicing for CRCT daily!  You also took the 4th Nine Weeks Pre-Test!  You have no homework!  Yippppee!  Hope to see you at the Math CRCT Practice Test Day!  Check out the announcements above and bring in a form to your math teacher by Wednesday, 3/26!

3/18/08 - Math

Math:  CRCT warm-up was over prime factorization.  Some of you were missing the problems because you weren't making sure the answers were all prime numbers!  Practice this concept at home!  Your homework it the Proportions WS.  Remember to write a proportion for each problem and show all your work.  Download Proportions.doc

Math:  Today in math we went over the formula for finding the Surface Area of a Cylinder.  I collected the Volume and Surface Area Review WS.  This will be counted as a QUIZ grade.  Your classwork/homework is the Solids Study Guide!  Download solids_study_guide.doc Please show all formulas and work on notebook paper!  Refer to your book, notes, workbook, etc. for help!  Your Solids TEST will be Wednesday, 3/12.  There will be a study session on 3/12 at 8:20 a.m. 

EXTRA CREDIT:  You've been asking for extra credit.  So here it is!  Please download any of the following assignments, complete, and turn in to me for extra credit.  Please do your BEST on the assignment(s).  You may have to look in your book or other resources to help you with the material.  ALL work must be shown!  This is due no later than Wednesday, 3/12!

3/06/08 - Math

Math:  We went over your homework, which was the WS over Volume of Pyramids and Cones.  Most of you did good with the pyramids!  Some of you struggled with the cones!  Your classwwork/homework is the Volume and Surface Area WS.  Download volume_and_sa_review.doc This is a review of all the formulas we have covered so far!  Remember to show all formulas and work on notebook paper!  I am counting this as a QUIZ grade....so double-check your work and please be sure to do your best on this!!  Tomorrow we will learn about the surface area of a cylinder and you will get your study guide for the test. 

TEST:  The Solids Test will be on Wednesday, 3/12.  Please study the formulas each night!

STUDY SESSION:  I will have a study session for the test on Wednesday morning (3/12) at 8:20! 

EXTRA CREDIT:  Look for an extra credit opportunity on my blog tomorrow evening!
