Social Studies
Today in class the students worked on their World Geography Quilt that is due on Monday 5-18.
Friday we will review for the final exam with a review game. The final exam is on Wednesday 5-20.
Friday's current event will be worth extra credit points.
The questions for the quilt are on my blog from April 27th.

On Wednesday we watched several short videos on the topic of economic growth and pollution in China. We completed a video guide while watching those videos and we reviewed that today. The study guide for the exam on China/East Asia was handed out today.
Friday we will have a notebook check and we will review any questions from the study guide. We will take a practice test over China/East Asia.
Monday we will take the China/East Asia test.

Yearbooks $40 Cash - Limited Quantities Available!!!
A LIMITED number of Yearbooks are still available for $40 CASH until Wednesday May 13th. The price of the yearbook will increase to $45 after this day.
We are also selling an insert for the yearbook containing world events like the presidency, olympics, super bowl, and movies from this year in the supplement of the World Yearbook. These are available for $5.

Today in class we discussed the 3 major religions of China. The assignment is to create a new symbol for each of the religions and explain how the symbol relates to the particular religion. You will have time in class on Tuesday to work on this and it is due at the end of the class on Tuesday. I have given you the paper. Remember you have a Warm Up quiz on Tuesday!!

Today in class we began looking at the 3 religions(philosophies) of China - Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism. We will continue working on that in class on Monday. The homework for the weekend is to complete the Current Event which is due on Monday.

Thursday 4/16 - During class we reviewed the graphic organizer on China. Had a class discussion about the Imperial period of China. Dynasty mini-project was assigned today. This is an in-class project and you will work on it with your partner/partners.
Friday - 4/17 - Warm Up quiz. Dont be surprised if you see questions from the graphic organizer on the quiz!!!!! The current event due date has been moved to Monday 4/20.
