Fundraiser wrap up & BV rehearsal Monday am!!

Hi all,

Just an FYI that ALL fundraiser monies are due 1st thing Tuesday morning. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CHORUS CLASS TO TAKE CARE OF TURNING IN YOUR MONEY TOMORROW!!! PLEASE DO IT BEFORE OR RIGHT AFTER HOMEROOM!!!! WE NEED EVERY MINUTE OF REHEARSAL TIME DURING CLASS TOMORROW AND I AM NOT GOING TO LET YOU OUT OF CLASS TO GO TURN IT IN!!! I have put a reminder about this tomorrow night's program as well.

BV---Plan on rehearsing Monday morning. You will perform 'SSB' and 'Inscription of Hope' tomorrow night.

SPRING CONCERT MONDAY NIGHT!!!

Hello all! I hope you've had a wonderful Mother's Day of spoiling moms and grandmas!

Here's the info for Monday night:

ALL STUDENTS NEED TO WEAR THEIR CHORUS POLO SHIRTS, BLUE JEANS (NOT CAPRIS) AND TENNIS SHOES!

ALL STUDENTS NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY SIGN IN when you get to my room!!!!

PARENTS, SOME OF THE PIECES PERFORMED TOMORROW NIGHT WILL BE VERY..."UNTRADITIONAL"....PLEASE TRY TO REMEMBER TO APPLAUD WHEN YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE THAT THE SONG IS OVER, thank you! :)

Bella Voce--since several 8th graders will be late to the concert, you will perform toward the end of the evening and we will show the DISNEY video!!

6th grade students need to arrive at 6:35 to warm up. I will escort you in to your seats. You'll perform after 7th grade. There will be a couple of parents to watch over you to make sure that you are behaving appropriately. If a name gets taken, you will receive a consequence.

7th grade students need to arrive at 6:15 pm to rehearse 'The Fox' with Ms. Chiles and Ms. Heagy playing, as well as to rehearse the handbells for 'Castle'. You all will perform first, which is something different. We will open the concert with you all already on the risers, instead of the 6th graders processing in.

8th graders need to have their parents write a note or send me an email letting me know if you'll be late or not. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE AFTER 7:30. WE'RE ALL TRYING TO BE FLEXIBLE, BUT PLEASE HAVE THE STUDENTS ARRIVE BY 7:30--THANKS!

This concert is going to ROCK!!!! See you there!

Info for 8th grade parents for Monday night!!!!

Attention all 8th grade parents. I understand that Monday night is both the night of our concert as well as NCHS open house night. I have told the 8th graders that if they're planning on attending NC open house, that they need to meet in the Chorus room here at Awtrey at 7:30 SHARP to get organized and go up to five the finale of the concert.

YOU NEED TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU'RE PLANNING ON GOING TO THE NCHS OPEN HOUSE MONDAY NIGHT. PARENTS CAN EITHER SEND ME AN EMAIL OR WRITE A NOTE AND HAVE THEIR SON/DAUGHTER GIVE IT TO ME.

Our last fundraiser for the year kicked off yesterday! Info was sent home with your child. All monies and orders are due after the concert next Monday night. We'll need some parent volunteers to help sell fundraiser items at the concert as well. I want to make sure that there is plenty of money in the account to finish this year and begin next year with! THANK YOU for your support!

Bella Voce--PRACTICE with your CD. A couple of you are NOT solid on your part yet (you know who you are) Get it learned so we can phrase, balance, inflect BREATH ENERGY into it next week..as well as work on our other pieces.

Bella Voce rehearsal

Bella Voce will start back with rehearsals next Monday. Our next performance is on May 7th for the Lewis ES 5th grade visit. We will continue to rehearse each Monday and Wednesday morning to prepare for this performance.

THE BIG SHANTY FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE HAS BEEN CANCELED.

8th grade---City Called Heaven, Silence My Soul (more to come)

7th grade---Castle On A Cloud, The Fox (more to come)

6th grade--Tinga Layo, Consider Yourself, Yonder Come Day

6th and 7th Grade General Music

Its Create-A-Band time! Meet in the Mac lab all week to work on this fun project. Don't forget to bring your instruction packet. We are conserving paper and you will only be given one packet, so don't lose it.
