Learning Goals: Students will be able to solve an absolute value equation for the variable.

Monday: Go over the Math Monday Word problem. Complete 13 absolute value equations solving for the variables if not finished complete for homework use graphic organizer for steps.

Tuesday: Off

Wednesday: Go to lab for skills tutoring. Give out study guide for them to begin completing

Thursday: Warm-up. Complete Study guide and go over to make sure they have not only correct answers, but correct steps.

Friday: Comp. Challenge #9. Test over Translating between verbal and algebraic expressions, solving multi-step equations for a variable, ans solving absolut value equations for a variable.

8/24/09: Monday In class we will be taking standardized test preparation 30,Looking at a power point presentation on probability with independent and dependent events,and doing a worsheet on IDing probabilities.

8/25/09: Tuesday in class we will be doing a skills warm-up, then a power point on simple and compound probability.with some worksheets to practice this

8/26/09: Wednesday will go to the computer lab to increase our math skills. Also it will be a short day because of the Mock Writing test. Homework Study for TEST!!!

8/27/09: Thursday Test on the Probability Unit. Do Flip Book on Set Theory Vocab.

8/28/09: Friday Warm-up, Power point on Set Theory And complete clozed notes on Union and intersection.

Math Study Skills

Well the school year has been off to a great start!! Last week went great. Now for our plans for This week 8/17 - 8/21.

Monday: Today we took a quiz on tree diagrams, Then we did an activity where we were all product testers on a new game that used the coordinate plane. We had to come up with different geometry shapes and plot them in the different quadrants.

Tuesday: We will do a warm-up, A power point on the counting principle, do some examples and work on some practice problems.

Wednesday: Today we go to the lab. and work on our math skills.

Thursday: Warm-up quiz and a quiz on the counting principle after a review

Friday: Warm-up, Different hans on activities determining whether a game is Fair or Not.
